MedCoast Scandinavia
– the up and coming biomedical region
Description: MedCoast Scandinavia is a non-profit member organisation that aims to further strengthen and the positive development of the biomedical sector in the Göteborg-Oslo Region. Representatives from the regions universities and municipal authorities established MedCoast Scandinavia in 2000. MedCoast Scandinavia acts as a catalyst for collaboration between scientists, businesses and the public sector. We also promote entrepreneurship and the commercialisation of innovative ideas.
Our vision is that Göteborg-Oslo, along with the other Scandinavian bio clusters, will become a leading biomedical region in Europe.
To reach this, MedCoast Scandinavia works to develop a regional biomedical network for academia, industry and the health care sector. We strive to create a neutral meeting place where actors can exchange ideas and knowledge. To succeed cooperation is necessary and MedCoast Scandinavia works to facilitate this process.
